To Whom It May Concern:
Re: Dave Walker HBSPCA
Volunteer Dave Walker has been a valued volunteer with
the Hamilton
Burlington SPCA since October 2003. During that time he has been
instrumental in moving our dog walking program forward from a
simple
‘exercise and socialization’ session with each dog, to a more
effective
and structured ‘obedience training’ experience, for both the dog
and the
volunteer. He has worked many hours as a project director on this
effort
and as a trainer of other HBSPCA volunteers.
His skill both as a dog behaviouralist and a workshop
leader has helped our
dog walking volunteers improve their animal handling skills and
instincts and
thus become an even stronger link in the dog adoptions process.
With the
greatly improved behaviour and manners now exhibited by our shelter
dogs,
our adoptions have increased and ‘returns’ have also been reduced.
Through his leadership, not only have our dogs been
given a much improved
opportunity for finding that ‘forever home’, but our many
volunteers have
reported a significantly more enjoyable and meaningful dog walking
experience.
It is my considerable pleasure to recommend Dave as an
energetic, reliable
and consummately professional individual who would be an asset to
any
organization.
Yours truly,
